Benefits of tendering via the NHS London Procurement Partnership
The NHS London Procurement Partnership works with NHS organisations delivering the support necessary for the NHS to make the most of its purchasing power which, in turn, maximises the investment in to patient care. This membership organisation ensures that trusts are able to continually deliver the highest-quality services and value for money from their suppliers.

“Through collaboration and best practice, our joint working with our members' procurement teams is integral to driving up quality and performance, and meeting the commercial and clinical needs of the NHS.

Together we aim to drive innovative ways of approaching and stimulating key supply markets, combining volumes, demand management and improving existing deals to secure efficiencies and apply the maximum leverage the NHS can exert.”
Successes from the LLP framework
As a member of the framework, we understand more than most the frustrations of in-house procurement teams during tenders. Whether that is the resources required to complete the process, or the length of time it can take to successfully source and check appropriate suppliers. Launching in April 2006, the framework has saved the NHS more than £850m, which is currently around £2m a week. These savings have been achieved through the support and engagement of members who actively participate to secure the best deals and services for patients.

In addition to the impressive savings sought through this process, the LPP has also delivered additional benefits to Trusts that include cost avoidance, increased patient safety and innovative treatments.
